Samples and Reviews
The staff of The Oregon Wine Blog welcomes media samples of wine and review copies of books, wine technology, and other wine products for publication on the blog. Our philosophy in reviewing wines and products is to serve as a resource for our readers. We enjoy highlighting wines and products that fit our editorial style. We tend to write reviews on wines that we enjoy or that speak to our palate. We realize that there are very good wines out there that may not be our particular cup of tea, might be having a bad day, or may not be ready yet. We don't feel it's fair to write a negative review of something that may not be our thing - so while we taste all samples, we won't always write about them. This doesn't mean it's a bad wine, it just didn't speak to us.
To send samples, please contact Josh Gana, Managing Editor, for address information and to direct your sample to the most appropriate writer.
Events
Our staff attend and write about events throughout the Pacific Northwest and California wine regions. Please let us know if you are interested in coverage of your event. We ask that media credentials or admissions be provided if you are requesting coverage as we are a low budget operation. We'll often write a pre-event promo for an event that our staff will be attending. We try to write about every event we attend and we'll be honest with our impressions.Email Josh Gana, Managing Editor, to coordinate event coverage.
